In cities around the world, shifts in lifestyles and habits are challenging the traditional housing preferences in which urbanites reside. As a result, entrepreneurs, designers, city planners, universities and developers are collaborating to create hybrid living typologies to adapt to more nomadic generations. The Future is Blended will set the stage for multiple stakeholders to connect and exchange best practices to shape shared urban living models of the future.
At The Future is Blended, we’ll explore key trends in coliving, coworking and student accommodation. What are the possibilities for university-cities to have a head start in shaping the future of urban living? What are the key drivers behind the leading shared living projects in New York? How are established and new ways of living blending into each other? What makes an ‘urban campus’? Looking forward, what global innovations can influence the New York housing market?
8:30am - 9:00am : Networking breakfast bites
9:00am - 12:00pm : Panel discussion with expert interludes
The Future is Blended is part of an explorative global tour organized by Amsterdam based think-tank, The Class of 2020. As an organization researching the future of living, working and learning in university-cities, insights gained from the tour will steer further discussions and debate shaping the future of urban living in emerging markets. The New York City event on September 17th is the final stop of the event series previously held in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Sydney, Melbourne and Dubai throughout 2019.
